Karen brings a passion for social and environmental justice to her work at Blue Planet Network. She is responsible for driving creative web and video projects, managing communication and outreach, and implementing all digital initiatives.

Karen has worked in the non-profit world for over a decade and started her environmental work at Grace Communications Foundation in New York City, where she led new media development and helped evolve multiple consumer advocacy websites and campaigns focused on food, water, and energy. Following that, she worked for the Environmental Grantmaker's Association producing, among other things, a series of video profiles featuring leaders in the philanthropic community.

Karen is also a singer-songwriter, composer, and performer who has released multiple albums and toured the US and Europe. She holds a B.A. with Honors from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
