Water Education Action Kit
For students, teachers and community groups, our Education Action Kit contains a bountiful list of opportunities for exploring the importance of water in our world while learning math, chemistry, health and global awareness. Included are the info graphic pages from our book as well as seven lesson plans highlighted below.

100 Uses of Water
To make a clear statement to students that water is part of every single thing in our lives. It is the most essential resource we have. Students will list 100 ways water is used in their daily lives.
DINO WATER: The Water Cycle
Students will learn the basics of the water cycle (hydrologic cycle) and understand that most of the world’s water is salt water. We have very little fresh water at our access and it is critical that we keep it clean and safe.
How Do You Measure Up?
Understand the injustice of unsafe drinking water through the probability of choosing a “sick” cup versus a “safe” one. Converting liquid amounts from cups to gallons.
TAP INTO WATER: Your Body Needs It
Students will understand that their bodies contain mostly water. We can only live a few days without water. Safe water is vital to our body's health and productivity.
Waterborne Diseases
Students will learn why people get sick from unsafe water. It's important to understand the extent of the problem. Nearly 1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water. That is 1 out of 6 people on the planet. Students will learn the importance of sanitation and hygiene.
WaterInTheNews
Students will see water as a newsworthy topic. Depending on the grade level, each student should be able to report back to the class one interesting news flash about water. Make it fun and dramatic!
WaterThinkTank
Students work as a team, with different perspectives and areas of expertise, to solve a major water problem that affects millions of people in Asia.
