Paul arrives at an exchange in farm country where the crew has been playing football.

With more than 11,000 lakes, they say you can't drive in a straight line in Michigan for long without hitting some body of water; the BPrunners would say you can't run in a straight line in Michigan without being cheered on by someone you know. Not only is MI the home state for Will, Shiri and our sponsor, Dow Chemical, but Rudy, Heiko and Sunila are all residents!

Will's father and guest runner Gale joined him for his entire 10 miles and the three ran into Battle Creek, where more of Will's family and friends were in attendance. Shiri then ran out of the exchange point with Gale for his second leg of the evening and her father following her in his car.

For the most part, it was fairly cloudy keeping the temperature down, but Laurel's run earlier in the day was right through a huge rainstorm! There were also tornado and torrential rainstorm warnings, unfortunately preventing high attendance at an event at Sunil's Lansing Temple in the evening.

While Shiri was stocking up on necessities at Trader Joe's near her father's home considerably east of the Run's Michigan route, a woman approached her and asked which one of the Blue Planet Runners she was – the word has been spreading fast!
