Day 80 finds the runners continuing their journey through the great State of Missouri. An exchange point is made in Jamestown at Moniteau Creek Road. During the next two legs, Shiri and Will had to run in the rain, but their spirits were not dampened - they were inspired by the numerous historical sites. As the route continued through Jefferson City, the runners passed Memorial Park, the Harry Truman Center, the Capitol Building, the Jefferson Landing State Historic Site and, last but not least, the Katy Trail State Park.

As Melissa ran through the city of Wainright she passed the Lewis and Clark Trail. Richard’s run through Mokane took him to a cross-bridge over Auxvasse Creek with the Katy Trail visible in the background. The Katy Trail is a 225 mile bike path stretching across most of Missouri and the Run crossed its path a few times today.

Laurel passes an old farm house.

David runs through Bunceton, Missouri - population 220.

Mary heads directly into a very large thunderstorm.

Rob and Patricia enjoy a stormy sunset from the back of the exchange point stage trailer in Jefferson City.
