| 24, 12 & 6-hour team and solo categories and 5-mile fun run Blue Planet Run 24 trail relays challenge solo runners and teams of up to 10 runners to complete five-mile loops on the country's most scenic and celebrated trails. The signature race category will put individuals and teams on the trail for a continuous 24 hours, but event categories are available for all ages and endurance levels including a 5-mile fun run and 6 and 12-hour relay challenges. In between laps, teams will enjoy the festival atmosphere of the athlete village and campground, which includes live music, food and beverages, vendors, booths, interactive games and festivities, and fun for the whole family. The Blue Planet Run 24 trail relays are the country's largest charity trail running events. All of the events' profits will be directly applied to the Peer Water Exchange to create sustainable safe drinking water access in communities in Africa, Asia, India and Latin America. Participants will be able to create their own fundraising pages, from which 100% of the donations we receive will also go directly to water projects. Prizes will go to individual runners and teams who cover the greatest distance as well as those that are able to raise the most money for water projects. In 2008, Blue Planet Trail Relays will take place in up to five great locations across the country. |
