Water is sacred
Simple and powerful
An essence makes life
And is life itself.
Any form of life
Is a justification of a celebration
A celebration due to water and in celebrating it
In honoring its sacredness
We better align our existence with our power
With our simplicity of being alive
Our messages seem to be getting heard a little more now that we are running through areas in the US that are very dependent on knowing how they will access safe drinking water. In leaving California we started to go into the desert and in running towards Las Vegas, we started to get some of the hottest temperatures yet. Our team's shift of 3-9 am has been a cool one but the daytime runners sure are adapting quick. I ran up a slight hill in Cali for about a 1500' elevation change, also did a run on a very sandy and soft side road towards Vegas and this morning ran 10 miles towards Utah. In Vegas I did another day run and went out to run up and down the strip. Fun! This morning the stars were shooting and I was reminding myself to remind myself more on just how lucky we are.
September 27, 2007... and still on the run!
When I think about all the great times and places that I visited this past summer, I am also reminded of all the great people.

With the last few days of our run looming and the month changing, emotions are swelling like I mentioned in my previous blog.

August 17 - The Wedding
In Kansas running in the 99 degree heat, I ended up getting attacked by two dogs but was able to yell at them enough to keep them at bay until our exchange point vehicle came by.

On the 9th we started our running from Zion National Park in Utah at 3 am. I was up last and ran the last shift from 7:45 - 8:55.
