Logistically, let me walk you through one of the normal routines for our BPR lives. Usually, the return to the hotel after our daily run can involve an average 2 hr drive. Adding up to at least 8-10 hrs in the vehicle, we are always more than happy to get back to a shower. Some of us
have developed a great porta shower wash off after our run just to feel a little more comfortable. Although we do get laundry service every now and then, I have pretty much devoted my first arrival time to my hotel room to washing my running clothes in the sink and finding a place for them to hang. From their we usually have our timings for a dinner time and to know what sort of time we will be leaving for our journey the next day. Today, starting off in the morning we met at the Hotel Lobby at 4:45 AM for our bus to the Beijing airport. Right now I am in the airport and about to catch the flight to Osaka, Japan. For me this road defined itself many years ago as my initial plan when I first got out of the Canadian Armed Forces in 2000 was to go to Japan and train to be an assistant instructor for Aikido. Martial Arts actually got me into running and provided a focus on mental discipline that distance running just seemed to also build on. 12 years of dabling in Sikran, Kenpo, Shotokan, Jui Jitsu, Kickboxing and Aikido provided for me a way to the spirit.

Poem of the Day:

Distance running is of the same
but now in returning to Japan,
I am returning to myself and I can feel
other alignments coming into an amazing
array of postulation.
