On the 25th, I was reunited with Taeko but she has now flown to Japan for media appearances. I can't wait to see her in Japan! I ran a 10 mile leg in 1:03:00. On the 26th, I was covering for a runner and ran 20 miles in 2:20:00 through the start of the mountain ranges in China. I loved it. It is interesting to note that the last few days have had the altitude the highest we have seen so far in our run. Today, aside from running with Taeko, was the absolute highlight run of the BPR experience so far as I ran 23 miles up to the Badaling portion of the Great Wall! The last 8 miles were done with my great friend Emmanuell and at the Wall we exchanged the Baton and off he went. It is an honor to enlighten people on our journey with our joy of running and with the soul of water piercing any unresolved obstacles within their spirit if but for a brief moment for them to smile. I will smile forever thinking about lighting an inspiration spark in the heart of the world.
Poem of the Day:
Great spirit defined us for
many centuries ago as we let a part
relax and flow out of the channels
holding our perspectivity
Great spirit defines us for
many centuries from now as we hang onto
the experiences that enlighten our souls
holding our perspectives
Great spirit define us for
many centuries may we hang a part of our spark
from your moment of neuronic firing
and humbly may we ask if you may laugh
hold our released observations
from no tangle of any perspective
