  • Statement: "We can come together as many nations and start to collectively make all the difference.” – Jason Loutitt, 2007

It has been hard for us as teams of runners to define our methods, our structures and our means. Our internal sharing happens quick as all of the runners habits, rythms and attitudes are shared as open as the hearts they come from. However, the staff, management and other teams are sometimes foreign to each other team's coping methods and internal structure of support. Some little decisions like if we should stop to try to eat or get to the hotel as quick as possible are made in order to keep the overall momentum of the run on schedule. At other times decisions such as these ones are able to be made by each team and our little internal pendulum of better recovery, personal integrity and of better regulated team dynamics is left on our plates to showcase and present. It is my hope that we all continue to respect ourselves, each other, our teams and the movement in the delicate approach that has gotten us close to
half way around the world. The other half... look out here we come!

Poem of the Day:

Some days this Ring to them sounds the call for change
Abstract sculptured thoughts Cherished, molded
The Leaves finally finally fall from the tree.

Prepare to have them Return again and again,
to fight the Same fight fought fighting the fight
Once Every once while we remember
We were there Before!
How cycles of life Can throw us
Into spokes we dive to have Us
Feel like we don't know what Is going on...Breathe.
I feel like...That is nice. Breathe.
I still have to...That is nice. Breathe.
One...That is nice. Breathe.
Wow! Making changes...That is nice.
Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.

August 13 - From Camp Hale to Vail

24 Miles of altitude above 8000', mountains, fresh air, an incredible team and a run to my training grounds for the last two summers combined to make it one of the best 2007 Blue Planet Run days for m

On the 9th we started our running from Zion National Park in Utah at 3 am. I was up last and ran the last shift from 7:45 - 8:55.

Poem of the day:

Water is sacred
Simple and powerful
An essence makes life
And is life itself.
Any form of life
Is a justification of a celebration
