Russia and Siberia! Skylines, vast nature and a calling. Felt it for my entire life. A job to do, a message to pass and momentum that needs to be kept balanced and positive. I can be stronger. I will be stronger. The cell phone alarm rings in some foreign room as I find I am in another hotel. What time are we able to eat breakfast? What time are we leaving for our run? Oh ya... breakfast is at 8 and we are leaving at 12 noon for our 3-9 pm shift as we have a normal amount of driving to do. Hmmmm... another 11+ hrs in our van. Water to drink? Clothes washed in the sink and hung to dry... are they dry yet? Are the shoes holding up? Better get some...have to wash again tonight...better use the other pair! Ok do we have everything we need? Yup. After awhile...hmmm can we stop for coffee? Sure is industrial here even in the more remote areas. Who is running first? Everyone ok? Let's go. Sure is amazing to be running here. The look in the eyes of the young kids wandering around our van at our last exchange point yesterday and the look of surprise on his face when it was translated we were running around the world for water... Wow! Living life pretty simple yet the smile is just as powerful. I keep thinking that a little decor of firmness is melted in the people we pass as I have seen more genuine smiles and expressions of being inspired in the people I have passed than everywhere else combined. Oh ya... I have to arrange the bill payments for back home on the internet.
Poem of the Day:
5,4,3,2,1...go! next interval
Make it to the tree
She sure is a strong runner...fast
Running with you Taeko
An interval workout yesterday
30 sec @ 100% every 5 min
A 20 mile long run together today
Hot sun yet smiling and always positive
My heart beats strong knowing
We are also doing our jobs

In Kansas running in the 99 degree heat, I ended up getting attacked by two dogs but was able to yell at them enough to keep them at bay until our exchange point vehicle came by.
August 13 - From Camp Hale to Vail
24 Miles of altitude above 8000', mountains, fresh air, an incredible team and a run to my training grounds for the last two summers combined to make it one of the best 2007 Blue Planet Run days for m

On the 9th we started our running from Zion National Park in Utah at 3 am. I was up last and ran the last shift from 7:45 - 8:55.

Poem of the day:
Water is sacred
Simple and powerful
An essence makes life
And is life itself.
Any form of life
Is a justification of a celebration
