Our team's day off from running yesterday was a quick change as we went from running the 3 to 9 am shift to running from 9 am to 3 pm. This meant getting back on the normal sleeping patterns and for everyone including myself, this means better recovery. All of my runs this past week were higher quality runs - 15 miles, tempo run at lactate threshold pace, interval run with 30 second surges every 5 min during the run, and a 20 mile run. The extra sleep will be greatly appreciated.
Poem of the Day:
aha, apa, aha - apa
pitter, pitter, pitter - pat
knee lift, arm swing, relaxed - breath
aha, apa, aha - apa
bup bup bup ba bup ba bup - ba
focused mind, open heart, calm - spirit
aha, apa, aha - apa
step, step, step - fly
earth, air, fire and water - needed
