We are in Wales overnight. Ferry ride over the Irish Sea was like riding over as part of a small city. All sorts of people and doings on board. I talked with some Dubliners, including a cute brother and sister, who were on holiday. The little girl's hair was full of "bobbins and baubles" as her brother described them. They called this holiday Bank Day. Their dad said they have 14 Bank holidays per year including St. Patty's day, this one for a sunny day in June. There was no sun in Dublin today but it was out in Wales. Had another discussion with some young boys about the ferry which is Irish yet registered in Cyprus. The flags flying aboard were from Cyprus, Poland and Welsh. In a deep brogue, an Irishman chimed in and said it "don't make sense." We talked about the run and they all took my cards to check out the website.
Wales is very green and has bumpy hills and lots of ledge and rock. Sheep and cows pasture everywhere. The foliage is mostly green and yellow with some rosa rugosa mixed in. We stayed in Bangor, the City of Learning, although have not learned why that name. The downtown is quaint with some great architecture including a central clock tower, but the area seems depressed. We dined in a Beer Garden and were treated really well, all enjoying a wonderful salmon or tuna entree, paid for in pounds. Returned to the room to sleep for 12 hours. The challenge of this odyssey is truly about the sleep and the travel.
Green Team is now on the graveyard shift and will not run again until 9pm and then four days of 9pm to 3am. I will be first runner out tonight, somewhere in the UK. Can only take this a day at a time. Personal highlight of the day? They are doing our laundry.
We are all disappointed about the cool reception in Boston, in stark contrast to the welcoming crowds in Connecticut. We hope to see a resurgence in London and Paris of media interest and community support. We are working very hard to spread the message.

Life goes on.....sort of. I’m a different person. I’m struggling with the issue of how to make a living and still keep active in the cause. Water issues surround me.
