I ran for 2:10 min in Central park this morning and am looking forward
to the kickoff tomorrow morning!!!

Poem of the day:

"All the days between each other running through our lives
New days in York town sank between us but I saw you I found
A smile to focus on, cry to forget, to see you in your light
Music crying out in search of you which inside you know is right
The change to believe... in anyone that’s lost, cold, in pain or broken And know they are like us... searching for meaning in the dry palace crossings
Amongst the Central Park path, between the walled building channels Some ask for help, others move along, some sing a song...inside
In listening for the deeper sound... humanity, nature and acceptance Are the over riding guides for our journey... then connect to the elements of life Earth, Air, Fire and Water"

With our journey in bringing water to life, I am inspired by the work
done last year by the Blue Planet Foundation in a village in Afganistan.

The Obadorro village was without access to clean drinking water. By installing a roof top rain water collection systems, now 700
children have access to clean drinking water every day. Some of these
spirits would of had to spend their entire days helping their family
collect water if it were not so.

To be here in New York, where some might not feel connected I assure
you that I know.

Surprise! another Poem of the day:

I know the look in the eyes
of those who care and in everyone's
eyes I will see them there.
Sometimes I have to look really hard
but any effort of my journey
will always be worth it.

September 27, 2007... and still on the run!

When I think about all the great times and places that I visited this past summer, I am also reminded of all the great people.

September 2 - Flying team colours!

With the last few days of our run looming and the month changing, emotions are swelling like I mentioned in my previous blog.

August 28, Niagara Falls

Running to OUR start line.

August 25 - 'Our home and Native land...'

My return to Canada sends a current of emotion flowing through my channels of hope and inspiration.

August 17 - The Wedding

In Kansas running in the 99 degree heat, I ended up getting attacked by two dogs but was able to yell at them enough to keep them at bay until our exchange point vehicle came by.

August 13 - From Camp Hale to Vail

24 Miles of altitude above 8000', mountains, fresh air, an incredible team and a run to my training grounds for the last two summers combined to make it one of the best 2007 Blue Planet Run days for m

August 10th - 'In the company of our elders and our future generations!'

On the 9th we started our running from Zion National Park in Utah at 3 am. I was up last and ran the last shift from 7:45 - 8:55.

August 8 -'Cali through Death Valley to the Red Sandstone Cliffs'

Poem of the day:

Water is sacred
Simple and powerful
An essence makes life
And is life itself.
Any form of life
Is a justification of a celebration

August 2 – BPR Fremont through San Jose ending at San Simeon

The California sun is screaming hello even though the temperatures are staying cool. I love it!

August 1st - The Blue Planet Run in Japan.

'The vending machines on the top of Mount Fuji.'

Notes Version:
-It is a big day today... I am meeting Taeko's Parents in Tokyo.
