Countdown to the starting line

Boot Camp, Lake Placid & Starting Line, New York City

The Blue Planet Run team of twenty runners and the support staff have spent the past five days at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York. Boot camp, as we call it, has pushed the crew to the limits, hammering out the details of the 95 day trec ahead. The logistics and information preparation has been even more rigorous than the physical training for these global messengers who are about to run 10 miles a day for the next three month.

These amazing individuals have quickly become best friends and have enjoyed this exciting time together, which may be the last time they are all in one place at one time. Each day the five squads of four runners will be spread out up to 160 miles apart along the 15,200 mile path.

While this massive display of endurance and grit lies in front of us, much effort has gone in behind us. Team BPR and all of our partners have put in an incredible effort to not only make this event happen, but to make it happen with amazing style and panache.
